Stuart Carr studied architecture at Dundee University winning the Dundee Civic Medal for his final year thesis project in 1984. In 1985 he joined forces with Andrew Inglis to form the architectural practice of Inglis & Carr. Since then he has gained a wealth of experience, particularly in the residential and historic building conservation sectors.

Stuart has had numerous opportunities to work on a larger stage with high profile London-based practices including Young & Gault, PRP and Darling Associates. This has led to full involvement in large scale residential, hotel and mixed-use projects in London, Manchester, Prague, Istanbul, Sochi, Moscow and other major world cities. He also spent several years as a Director with the international practice of Chapman Taylor leading the UK residential sector.

Stuart has won numerous architectural awards over the years including the Supreme Award in the prestigious SDA / RIAS Regeneration of Scotland Design Awards. He is a Fellow of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.
