Prescribed Examinations Route Data
Candidates taking the prescribed exams can achieve one of three outcomes: pass, referral to lead or fail.
Those who meet all 44 criteria will pass the exam.
If a candidate fulfils GC1 and an additional 32 criteria, they are referred to the lead examiner where they will need to submit further evidence (often in the format of an essay) to confirm their knowledge of the outstanding criteria.Â
If a candidate does not meet the minimum threshold to qualify for interview or does not meet the requirements above to qualify for referral to lead, they will fail the prescribed exams.Â
The table below shows information on individuals applying through this process. Successful individuals all held qualifications that fell within scope of our eligibility requirements for the Prescribed Examination.
