Biography
Rachel is a qualified teacher and headteacher and has spent the last 25 years working with children between the ages of 4 and 16 in a variety of different settings. She is currently a non executive director for the Priors Court Foundation, a charity offering specialist education and care for children and young people with severe autism.
In addition to her career in education, Rachel has wide experience of regulation. She was a non executive director and Council member at the Advertising Standards Authority between 2011 and 2018, taking on the role of Senior Independent Director for her final three years. She undertakes a variety of regulatory roles for different statutory and self regulatory bodies including the Portman Group, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Health Education England and Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. She also sits on the Advertising Advisory Committee, providing a consumer perspective to CAP and BCAP on the broadcast and non broadcast advertising codes.
