Ilona Hay’s career has spanned both practice and education, the UK and beyond.  She has been practicing as a qualified architect for the last 14 years. She currently runs her own practice, Texere Studio. Prior to this she worked in award winning practices such as Conran and Partners, Niall McLaughlin, Feilden Clegg Bradley and Walters and Cohen.

She has also been teaching architecture at both graduate and undergraduate levels in the UK over the past 11 years, at several institutions. These include University of Herfordshire, Oxford Brookes University, University of Kent, University of East London, and the University of Plymouth. Prior to that she tutored in Canada. She was educated in architecture at Dalhousie University, Canada, and completed her part three at the Bartlett, UK.
