Biography
Alida Bata is an architect, urban designer, and academic. Alida holds a Masters in Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Design. She also completed the Diploma at the Architectural Association.
Alida practices and teaches architecture internationally, in the Middle East, Central Asia, East Africa, and Europe. Her work centres around the changing role of architects in complex multi-stakeholder projects. Her architectural pedagogies consider the skills and knowledge required in architectural education to competently address emerging challenges; namely climate volatility, limited resources, and the impact of the virtual world on physical space.
