Case studies: Misuse of ‘architect’

Our case studies take you through real examples of title misuse to show how problems can arise and how to avoid them.

We keep a public register of all UK architects that you can search quickly and easily online. If someone is not on the Architects Register, they are not a UK architect. It is illegal for an unregistered individual to use the title ‘architect’ in business or practice.

To find out more about our work to raise awareness of the Architects Register and help the public make informed choices, or to discuss case study opportunities, please contact Rosie Bower, Public Awareness Lead, at rosieb@arb.org.uk.
