Robert Tinsley
During a 35 year career as a practicing architect culminating in 12 years as chairman and joint senior partner of William Saunders Partnership, Robert Tinsley has led professional construction teams involved in a wide variety of buildings ranging from small and medium sized refurbishments up to multi million pound new build commercial projects. He has also acted as an expert witness and professional advisor.
Having spent the first part of his professional life working in Zambia and Nigeria, he joined William Saunders in 1978 and became a partner in 1984.
As joint founder member and chairman of WSP Safety Ltd until it was sold in an MBO in 2003, Robert has always had a keen interest in establishing and progressing the good management of health and safety in design and construction both within his practice and externally for the Association of Project Safety.
Retiring as chairman of William Saunders in 2010, Robert maintains an active involvement as a consultant to the business.
