Aun Qurashi

Aun Qurashi is a Chartered Architect with over 30 years’ experience as sole principal of his own architectural practice, encompassing all aspects of project design, delivery and practice management.

Sectors covered have included residential (alterations, extensions and new-build houses); education (nursery, primary and secondary schools); community (places of worship and local area master-planning); conservation (regeneration of listed buildings); and environmentally sensitive projects (simple, low-tech self-build). The role of main contractor has also occasionally been taken on for domestic projects – directly managing and supervising trades on construction sites.

For the last eight years Aun has acted client-side for Local Authority, procuring and overseeing multidisciplinary teams for delivery of major corporate projects. These have been primarily for education (expansion and new-build of mainstream and SEN schools), as well as for social care (residential homes for looked-after children and for adults with dementia).

Aun is a trained mediator, having volunteered for six years with a local non-profit mediation service assisting in the resolution of neighbour and community disputes. He has also been a Justice of the Peace (Magistrate) since 2000, sitting in local Magistrates’ Courts as part of the West London Bench.
