Grace is a practicing architect with over 25 years’ experience. She graduated from the Mackintosh School of Architecture, where she was awarded the Charlie Cochrane Silver Medal and the RIAS Silver Medal/Portfolio Prize for Scotland. She went on to work for several leading UK practices, working across all scales and sectors delivering highly acclaimed projects, before founding Grace Choi Architecture in the North East of England. She has particular experience in inclusion, sustainable building methods and community focussed projects.
Alongside practice, Grace has encouraged professional progression through past roles such as the RIBA North East Chair, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion group lead, and as a member on the RIBAJ editorial panel. She is a regular visiting reviewer and lecturer at various UK schools of architecture, as well as a mentor, writer, judge and experienced non-exec /advisor to local charities and national committees. She co-edited Inclusion Emergency: Diversity in Architecture, published by RIBA Publishing in June 2024.
