Julian Owen
Julian Owen
Julian is a chartered architect who founded his East Midlands-based practice in 1992. He has been active in the RIBA, as a nationally elected councilor, chair of the Nottingham and Derby Society of Architects and chair of the East Midlands Region. He has been on the RIBA list of adjudicators of construction disputes since 2002 and was awarded an MBE for services to architecture in 2004.
He founded ASBA, the national network for marketing local architects in 1992 and is a director of the 1st Architects group. He has spent many years as a speaker and ‘expert’ at exhibitions aimed at consumers who are planning building projects and self builder, and has written six books on topics such as timber frame construction, home alterations and self build.
