Vicky Lockie

Vicky is a solicitor.  She spent most of her legal career working as part of the senior management team at Pearson Plc with responsibility for managing legal risk for its international businesses.  She sat on the boards of a number of Pearson companies including Edexcel, the provider of GCSE A-Levels and BTECs, and a significant joint venture in the Middle East.  After leaving Pearson Vicky set up her own consultancy practice providing strategic support and advice to a wide range of businesses including technology startups and HSBC, where she undertook an extended business transformation assignment.

Vicky now holds a portfolio of roles.  She is in her second term as a non-executive Director of The Law Society where she sits on the People and Remuneration Committee and the Grants and Sponsorship Advisory Panel.  She is a member of the Finance Committee of STir Education, an NGO supporting education initiatives in India, Uganda and other emerging economies.  She is also a member of the Independent Monitoring Board, responsible for monitoring fair and humane treatment of people in immigration facilities in the South and East of England.
