Alastair after a career in regulation, regulation policy and governance roles in a number of national regulators such as the Health & Safety Executive, The Food Standards Agency and the Care Quality Commission pursued a portfolio career. This has included providing governance and regulatory consultancy to large public and private sector organisations, primarily in healthcare. More recently he has focussed upon the regulation of professionals across a variety of sectors and holds a number of lay member and chair positions mainly in healthcare regulators and accountancy regulators.
