Biography

Stephen Neale is a graduate of Kent University and holds a BSc (Hons) in Electronics. He was a Police Officer in Thames Valley Police and rose to the rank of Detective Chief Inspector. He qualified as a Senior Investigating Officer and was responsible at varying times for the investigation of serious crime, Child Protection, and the Management of Dangerous Offenders in the Community. He also worked for Professional Standards involved in the investigation of complaints and police corruption. After a spell setting up the newly formed Diversity Unit, he retired in 2006. Stephen was appointed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Lay Chair Panelist and completed his term in 2016. He was appointed as a Lay Panelist for the ARB Professional Conduct Committee in 2010.
