Judy Carr

Biography

Judy currently runs her own practice, Haven Architecture Ltd, near Nottingham, working primarily in the housing sector.

She studied Architecture at St Catharine’s College Cambridge, going on to complete her postgraduate studies at Kingston University. She has worked in private practice as an architect in Suffolk and the East Midlands for over twenty years.  She has also worked in the commercial and public sectors as an “in-house” client.

She has an MSc in “Advanced Energy and Environmental Studies” from the Centre for Alternative Technology , concentrating on issues of energy reduction and renewable energy use in the domestic and community sectors.  Judy has in the past been a design studio tutor at Nottingham Trent University’s Architecture and Architectural Technology BA course.

Judy is registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB), and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

From 2004 – 2008, Judy was a lay panel member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s Fitness to Practise Committee, and a chair of panel from 2008 – 2012.
