Title Investigations Officer
Salary £27,000 per annum + excellent benefits
Marylebone, London W1W – currently working remotely during Covid-19 restrictions
Reporting to the Investigations Manager, the Title Investigation Officer will be working closely with the professional standards team on all aspects of regulation to undertake and deliver effective complaints management and regulation awareness processes.
Architects play a crucial role in our society. They design the buildings and environments where we live and work. Established in 1997, the Architects Registration Board is the professional regulator of architects. We maintain a Register to protect the public, so that anyone using an architect’s services, or a building designed by an architect, can be reassured that the design has been developed by an appropriate expert.
Our Title Investigation Officer’s focus will be investigating complaints and queries about misuse of the title “architect” and with matters which arise from incorrect “architect” listings in directories, advertisements and websites; instructing ARB’s solicitors in prosecuting cases in the magistrates’ court, drafting press releases following criminal prosecutions, attending court to give evidence as and when required, producing statistics on ARB’s title regulation work and assisting with the development of professional standards policy, procedures and guidance.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, highly developed administrative, and organisational skills. You will be a team player with the ability to work on your own initiative and deliver work to deadlines. You must have previous experience in professional regulation and casework.
In return, we offer 27 days’ holiday per year, generous pension arrangements and a comprehensive benefits package. This post is based in our central London office, however ARB supports flexible working and will be reviewing our office working arrangements, post Covid-19 in due course.
The closing date for this opportunity is 11:00am Thursday 20 May 2021. We will contact you once short-listing has been completed to advise you of the outcome of your application.
We anticipate interviews will be held on Wednesday 2 June 2021, depending on government restrictions, this will either be at ARB’s offices in central London, or remotely, via video link.
No agencies please.
ARB is committed to equal opportunities and values diversity in its workforce. We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds.
