Board member attendance allowances
Board Members attend Board meetings and Committee meetings of which they are a member. Board members also attend Board development days and discussions, a budget briefing session and, prior to July 2009, Working Group meetings. Chairs of Committees may also attend briefing sessions. Some Board members are also asked to represent the Architects Registration Board at events and may be delegated to represent the Board in a particular area or capacity, such as European issues. Appointments which carry a significant workload are shown within the table by way of explanation. The Chair of the Board attends the office at least once a month in addition to Board and other meetings with stakeholders and also conducts development discussions with all Board members individually during the year.
The tables show Board members’ attendance at Board meetings, Committee meetings and on Board business. Where the column is blank, the individual is not a member of that Committee. Attendance for more general meetings or events is shown in the final column. Board members are entitled to claim £250 per day or part thereof for time spent on Board business. Some Board members do not claim the full day attendance fees.
